Brooke is passionate about supporting people, especially women, and helping them find their confidence in birth and parenting. She loves seeing the bond between new parents and their baby, seeing partners fall in love all over again, and seeing families be born and grow. Brook has worked with children since her first job as a teen nannying for twin boys. Since then, she has continued to work with children through nannying, teaching piano, and working as an assistant karate instructor (Brooke has a second degree black belt, too!). She’s been a doula in spirit for a very long time, but took her first professional doula training in 2014. She’s completed two labor and birth trainings and is fully trained in postpartum support as well. She brings to her work her professional training and experience as well as her natural compassion. Brooke lives in Ames, Iowa with her husband and their family, which includes one angel baby, an adorable little girl, and a black cat named Oswald Cobblepot. Brooke is passionate about social justice and has a particular interest in mental health advocacy, feminism, and equality. When not serving clients, Brooke can be found writing (you can find some of her work on Amazon), binge-watching Netflix, Amazon shopping, and doing yoga and karate. She also plays the piano and the ukelele. Brooke strives for her clients to always feel supported, listened to, and respected, and works hard to do whatever she can to help their dreams come true and to make things easier on her clients and their family members. Brooke provides professional labor support and postpartum doula support.
